About IBSAT 2018 Paper Pattern:

  • IBSAT 2018 is an online examination which is Computer based.
  • Exam Duration is 2 hours
  • It consists of 4 sections including Verbal Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, Reading Comprehension, and Data Interpretation.
  • Total of 140 multiple choice questions. Each question has 5 alternative options.
  • Each question carries one mark each for each section.
  • No Negative marking for incorrect answer.
  • The medium of Language for Test is English.

IBSAT 2018 Exam Syllabus

The section wise syllabus will allow the candidate to go through all the topics covered in the sections. Below are the details of each section:

Verbal section:

  • This section consists of 50 questions each of one mark.
  • It tests the knowledge of English language proficiency.
  • It consists of questions based on Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Correction, Grammar, Idioms, Fill in the blanks, reasoning ability and so on.

Quantitative Section:

  • This section consists of 30 questions each of one mark.
  • The candidate is evaluated on mathematical, problem solving and logical abilities to solve the questions.
  • It consists of questions based on topics like Algebra, Geometry and analytical question, LCM, HCF, Time, Speed, Ratio and Proportion, Statistics, and so on.

Reading Comprehension Section:

  • This section consist 30 questions each of one mark.
  • It will contain about 4 unseen passages of 500 to 600 words.
  • 5 to 9 questions in each passage. It can be direct or inferential question.
  • It checks the ability of the candidate to read the passage quickly and select the correct answer.

Data Interpretation Section:

  • This section consist 30 questions each of one mark.
  • This section tests the logical, Critical reasoning and data interpretation skills ability of the candidates.
  • The candidate should have the ability to deal with complex data.
  • It consist questions based on Critical reasoning, Data sufficiency, Pie Charts, Bar graph, Line Graph, tables, and so on.
