SRM University Joint Engineering Entrance Test 2019 (SRMJEEE) is a premier engineering entrance test of the country organized generally during the month of April. This test guides students towards admission in engineering courses in 4 campuses of SRM University which are Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, Vadapulani and NCR-Ghaziabad.

SRMJEEE 2019: Important Dates
Let us take a look at the important dates for SRMJEEE 2019 first. As we have already mentioned, the application forms have been rolled out for the test in October.
The application process will continue till the month of March 2019. However, there may be separate last dates for Online and Offline payment, and generally, the last date for offline application is earlier than online. So candidates should take care of that.
Candidates can start booking slots for their SRMJEEE 2019 from the first week of April 2019, and admit cards will be thus released within a week. The exam will be conducted at various centres in India and Abroad from 2nd week of April 2019.
The results for the exam will be declared in 1st week of May 2019. Further, counselling or admission process will start in the 2nd week of May.
SRMJEEE 2019: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates will also need to fulfil the eligibility criterion laid down by the university. To apply for SRMJEEE 2019, the candidate needs to be an Indian Resident. Further, NRIs (Non-Resident Indian) and holders of PIO or OCI cards are also eligible to apply for the test.
Further, he/she needs to be of more than 16 years of Age, on 31st July 2019. The university has laid down a minimum marks criterion too. The applicant must have a minimum of 50% marks in PCB or PCM subjects in Class 12, along with attaining such qualification from a reputed institute.
They must also keep in mind that there can be further minimum marks criterion for specific programs of the university.
SRMJEEE 2019: Examination Pattern
SRMJEEE 2019 is an online test which is conducted at various centres inside and outside India. The online test has a duration of two and a half hours (i.e. 150 minutes). The test features 3 sections, each of which carries a weightage of 105 marks.
Physics and Chemistry are the two compulsory sections of the exam. For the third section, candidates can either opt for Mathematics or Biology. However, candidates must know that some specific courses are required for Mathematics or Biology to opt in the test. Therefore, candidates must check the course-specific eligibility points before opting for any section. They can visit the official website to check the eligibility.
For Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry sections, the total number of questions will be 35 for each section. Each question will be of 3 marks, and negative marking of 1 mark will be applicable for each incorrect answer. For Biology section, the number of questions will be 50. 2.1 marks will be awarded for each correct answer, and 0.7 marks will be deducted for each incorrect response.
SRMJEEE 2019: How to apply?
Application forms for SRMJEEE 2019 are accepted only through online mode. However, candidates can make the payment through both online and offline modes.
To apply, candidates can visit the official website. On the right side, candidates will be able to see a dialogue box to register. Candidates can enter their details and register on the database. Further, they can proceed on to complete the application form by filling in necessary details and uploading requisite documents.
Those who want to make payment online can choose methods like Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking to make the payment. Those are desirous of paying through offline mode will need to send a Demand Draft of INR 1100 drawn in favour of SRMIST and payable in a Chennai. The official address for such DD will be mentioned on the website. Candidates must also write their own address and name on the backside of DD.
